Man United receive transfer boost in race to sign £24m Barcelona star Arda Turan who provided 13 assists last season
Manchester United have received a boost in the race to sign Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan.
The Turkey international looked set for a more to his boyhood club Galatasaray, following reports from the Turkish media this morning.
However, Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut has denied all reports stating that a deal had been struck with the Istanbul giants.
”The news that Arda Turan agreed with Galatasaray is not true,” Bulut told Turkish Super League broadcaster beIN SPORTS.
“I didn’t talk to Barcelona about Arda Turan.”

Meanwhile, Spanish outlet AS claim that Man United is also a likely destination for Turan this summer.
Per the source, Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho has held talks with the Turkey international ‘on many occasions.‘
Turan has been deemed surplus to requirement at Barcelona by their new manager Ernesto Valverde. The 30-year-old has three-years remaining on his contract with the Catalan giants.
Turan racked up 13 goals and provided seven assists in 30 appearances for Barcelona last term. The flamboyant midfielder made the move to Barcelona from Atletico Madrid for £24 million back in July 2015 (BBC).
