Man United transfer news: Arsenal ace wants Jose Mourinho reunion – can leave for free next summer

Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil could be on his way out of the Emirates next summer.

The 28-year-old has under 10-months remaining on his contract with Arsenal. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has recently admitted that transfer talks with Ozil have ‘slowed down.’

According to the German publication Sport Bild, Ozil is eyeing a move to Arsenal’s title rivals Manchester United. Per the source, the Germany international wants to reunite with his former manager Jose Mourinho.

Ozil played under Jose Mourinho during his spell at Real Madrid. The pair won the Copa del Rey and La Liga together with the Spanish giants.

The move would echo Robin van Persie’s move to the Red Devils back 2012. The Netherland’s international left the Gunners for United before leading the club to the Premier League title.

Ozil was left out of the squad for Arsenal’s Europa League clash with FC Koln. The 28-year-old is expected to start when the Gunners take on their London rivals Chelsea on Sunday.
