Bayer Leverkusen star midfielder Hakan Calhangolu has hinted at a move to Manchester United.

Chelsea, Everton, Tottenham, United and Arsenal scouts were all present during Bayer Leverkusen clash with Koln last week to watch Calhanoglu, according to the Daily Mail.

United look to be in the race to sign Calhanoglu after the 22-year-old admitted that it would be hard to turn down an offer from the Red Devils. The Turkey international also said that Barcelona would be a tempting proposition.

Calhanoglu told Lig TV: “Barcelona and Manchester United are huge clubs it would be difficult to turn them down.

“But I have not said anything about any transfers or anything of the sort.”

Calhanoglu has two-years left on his contract and Bayer CEO Michael Schade stated back in 2015 (Metro) that the club would only listen to offers of £28.9 million and above.

The 22-year-old has provided six assists and scored five goals for the Bundesliga giants this season. Bayer Leverkusen currently find themselves in ninth place in the league with just 21 points after 16 games.
