Man United transfer news: Jose Mourinho makes decision regarding Bastian Schweinsteiger

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has given the green light for Bastian Schweinsteiger to make a move to Fenerbahce.

A source close to the Turkish giants has revealed to Turkish-Football.com that the former Germany international is available over the January transfer market and that Fenerbahce have expressed an interest.

Schweinsteiger was left out of United’s squad at the beginning of the season but managed to break back into the side following a string of injuries to key midfielders.

However, his spell in the side was short lived as the experienced midfielder has once again found himself on the sidelines.

Fenerbahce manager Dick Advocaat is understood to be a big fan of the former Bayern Munich star and is keen to reinforce his midfield options.

The Istanbul giants have been linked with Schweinsteiger since the start of the season however, it is unclear whether they will make a move in the coming week.

United boss Jose Mourinho is keen to make chances to his squad over January and has transfer listed both Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay.
