Manchester United have received a transfer boost in their pursuit of Galatasaray winger Bruma.

A source close to Galatasaray has revealed to Turkish-Football that Bruma has stalled on a new contract talks.

Per the source, Bruma’s representative has delayed talks on the latest set of negotiations. Galatasaray have been trying to extend the Portugal u21 international’s contract for the past six months.

However, Bruma has his mind set on a move to England or Spain.

Turkish-Football recently reported that both Manchester United and Tottenham scouts were present during last weekend’s Galatasaray v Fenerbahce derby.

Galatasaray are desperate to keep Bruma at the club after signing him for €14m from Sporting back in 2013. The Lions will be forced into selling the pacy winger this summer if they are unable to strike a new deal.

Bruma has just 14 months remaining on his contract with the Galatasaray. The 22-year-old has been in impressive form for the Istanbul giants this season with eight goals and eight assists after 30 games.

The Sun has also linked both Man United and Tottenham with a move for Bruma.

Galatasaray are currently being monitored by UEFA for Financial Fair Play (FFP). The Lions missed out on European football this season after failing to meet FFP standards.

The Lions were defeated in the intercontinental derby on Sunday and find themselves in fourth place with 49 points. Galatasaray take on Bursaspor in their next Turkish League fixture on Monday 1 May.

Manchester United meanwhile take on their biter rivals Manchester City in the Premier League on Thursday.
