Man United transfer news: Red Devils join race to sign £23m Liverpool star, Chelsea also interested

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has been the talk of the town this summer.

The 23-year-old helped Germany lift the Confederations Cup last month and has played a starring role for Liverpool so far this season.

Can scored a brace against Hoffenheim and produced a dominant display against Arsenal in the Premier League.

However, Can has not signed a new deal with the Reds and will be available on a free transfer next summer once his deal expires.

According to Italian paper Tuttosport, Manchester United are preparing a move for the combative midfielder.

Premier league champions Chelsea are also understood to be interested in the 23-year-old.

Tuttosport go onto state that Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and Serie A champs Juventus are also in the race.

Meanwhile, Corriere dello Sport recently claimed that Juventus had a £23 million deadline day bid rejected by Liverpool.

Can was included in Joachim Low’s Germany national team however, the Liverpool player was an unused substitute in both games.

Liverpool take on Manchester City this weekend as they look to maintain their winning run.
