Manchester United have given Bastian Schweinsteiger the green light to leave according to Milliyet.

Per the source, United have paved the way for Besiktas to sign the Germany international midfielder.

The Black Eagles want the 31-year-old on a one-year loan with a buyout clause option.

The article reports that if Paul Pogba does join United from Juventus it would almost certainly mark the end of Schweinsteiger’s stint at the club.

Besiktas will however, push for a loan instead of a permanent deal depending on United’s asking price.

The Eagles are currently under FFP investigation and their revenue must exceed their spending.

French giants PSG are also reported in the race for the experienced Germany international according to the Sun.

United boss Jose Mourinho reportedly wants to trim down his squad to 23 for the new season.

Schweinsteiger, Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian are all expected to leave United this summer according to the Daily Mail.
