Man Utd keeper Victor Valdes will join Antalyaspor if wage demands are accepted says club president

Antalyaspor club president Gültekin Gencer has confirmed that Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes will join the club if the board approves his wage demands.

“We have made an official bid. Valdes wants to join Antalyaspor all that remains is for us to agree the fee being demanded,” Gencer was quoted as saying in the Milliyet.

“I believe it will be completed within a couple of days.”

The Scorpions were promoted to top-tier football at the end of last season but have embarked on an ambitious transfer policy.

Gencer recently completed the transfer of Samuel Eto’o to the club, and is on the verge of bringing another former Barcelona man to the club – Ronaldinho.

Valdes joined United on a free transfer from Barcelona during the winter transfer window but an injury blighted season has resulted in him making just two Premier League appearances.

The 33-year-old keeper only has a year left on his contract and could struggle for playing time next season at United.

Valdes has won almost everything there is to win in club and international football including the La Liga, Champions League, World Cup and European Championship.
