Man Utd legend says Man City made the signing of the summer

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes are revealed that he thinks cross-city rivals Manchester City have made the signing of the summer.

Scholes stated that he is a fan of the Germany international of Turkish origin but did underline that his injury record could end up being a potential problem.

“I think Gundogan is a really impressive player. I’ve seen a lot of him at Borussia Dortmund,” Scholes was quoted as saying by Sport Witness

“I think he has a lot of injury problems, which could be a problem.”

The 24-year-old cost City £20 million which was a bargain according to Scholes and he could end up being a fantastic player.

Scholes stated that Gundogan could very well end up being a bargain for the Premier League outfit.

“If he can stay fit, I think he can be a fantastic player. I also think he is a great value for the money Manchester City paid for him. I think he is a bargain,” he added.

Gundogan was expected to face his former boss Jurgen Klopp – who now manages Liverpool – in City’s first Premier League game of the season but has been ruled out for the opening weeks of the Premier League with an injury.

The midfielder is now one of four players born in Germany of Turkish origin in the Premier League with the others being Liverpool star Emre Can, Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil and West Ham winger Gokhan Tore.
