Man Utd & Liverpool target Gundogan considering his options

Borussia Dortmund’s midfielder Ilkay Gündoğan is considering his options following interest from the Premier League.

Gündoğan has been linked with a move to Anfield since the appointment of Jurgen Klopp as manager in place of Brendan Rodgers. Dortmund rejected an approach from Liverpool’s rivals Manchester United earlier on in the season according to the German newspaper Express.

The midfield playmaker worked alongside Liverpool boss Klopp during their time together at Dortmund and it’s believed the German manager is keen on the pair reuniting at Anfield.

“There is still no decision, and of course, everything has to be considered very carefully, because your career is limited in time,” Gündoğan told Bild.

“But to be honest, everything is still open.

“I know what I have at my club, and I’m not going to lose sight of it. But again, a decision is definitely not made.”

Gündoğan is tied into a contract at Dortmund until 2017 after signing a contract extension at the start of the season.

Dortmund sit in second place in the Bundesliga with 35 points in 15 games. Gündoğan has provided five assists and scored two goals in 25 appearances for Dortmund this season.
