Man Utd midfielder included in squad to face Southampton clash amid Galatasaray speculation

The Belgium international midfielder Marouane Fellaini has been included in Manchester United’s squad which takes on Southampton tonight at the St Mary’s Stadium.

Fellaini has been linked with a move to Galatasaray by the Express in the past week however, United boss Jose Mourinho gave the combative midfielder an important role in the team for his sides opening game of the season.

The Portuguese manager is once again expected to deploy Fellaini in midfield against Southampton alongside Paul Pogba.

Galatasaray were previously linked with Liverpool’s Lucas Leiva however, the Reds boss Jurgen Klopp put an end to the move following an injury crisis at Anfield.

Fellaini provided five assists and seven goals in 41 appearances in all competitions for Manchester United last season.
