Manchester United are on the verge of reaching an agreement with Fenerbahçe over the transfer of Robin van Persie a close source told Turkish-football.com.
As reported by Turkish-football.com’s Emre Sarıgül and the Guardian’s Jamie Jackson on Saturday United and Fenerbahçe have been locked in negotiations over reaching a transfer fee agreement.
Fenerbahce sporting director Guiliano Terraneo travelled to England to hold final talks with United.
The Reds and Fenerbahçe have now struck a deal on almost all the terms in the agreement and Istanbul giants expect the transfer to be announced by the end of the week.
Fenerbahçe had already reached an agreement-in-principle for Van Persie last week and he is ready to sign a three-year deal.
Van Persie would become the second United player to join Fenerbahçe within the span of a week.
