Man Utd playmaker will fight to stay amid interest from Fenerbahce

Manchester United playmaker Juan Mata is willing to fight for his place at Old Trafford according to the Daily Mail.

The 28-year-old’s future at United has been cast in doubt following the arrival of Jose Mourinho. However, Mata wants to return to pre-season training and start afresh.

Mata has frequently been linked with a loan move to Fenerbahce over the past fortnight. The Express newspaper has reported that Juventus are also interested in the £30 million rated playmaker.

The Sun have reported that Mata future at Old Trafford is under threat following the appointment of Mourinho. The Portuguese tactician offloaded Mata to United for £37m in January 2014 while he was manager of Chelsea.

The Spain international scored 10 times while providing 11 assists for United last season and has another two-years left on his contract.
