Manchester United’s star striker Robin van Persie is expected to put pen-to-paper on a three-year-deal with Fenerbahce on Monday.
Van Persie will fly to Istanbul on Sunday after completing his transfer to Fenerbahçe a close source told Turkish-football.com.
Fenerbahçe released a statement on the Public Disclosure Platform (PDP) officially confirming talks with United striker Van Persie earlier today.
PDP statements are required for companies listed on the Istanbul stock exchange such as Fenerbahçe.
The 31-year-old is expected to join the Yellow Canaries for a €6.5 million transfer fee on a three-year deal.
Fenerbahce have had a busy summer already signing Kjaer, Sao Paulo defensive midfielder Josef De Souza, Turkish international Sener Ozbayrakli and last seasons Super Lig goal king Fernandao.
Van Persie provided three assists and scored 12 goals in 31 appearances for Manchester United last season. The 31-year-old has scored 49 goals in 98 games for the Netherlands national team.
