Galatasaray target Bastian Schweinsteiger has been left out of Manchester United’s provisional squad ahead of their opening Premier League game of the season against Bournemouth.

The 32-year-old midfielder has been banished to train with the reserves and has not featured over the pre-season period.

The former World Cup winner does however, have another two-years remaining on his contract and United would have to pay near to €13 million for a player sitting in the reserve side if he were to stay on.

AMK have revealed that the Lions want Schweinsteiger on a temporary move and are willing to pay up to €3.5 million of Schweinsteiger €6.5 million salary.

Provisional Manchester United squad:

De Gea, Shaw, Valencia, Bailly, Blind, Carrick, Herrera, Lingard, Rooney, Martial, Ibrahimovic, Mkhitaryan, Romero, Rojo, Rashford, Schneiderlein, Fellaini, Mata, Depay, Jones.
