Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has not been included in the squad that will travel to China as part of the pre-season tour of the far-east.

Schweinsteiger has been linked with a United exit but it remains to be seen if he was not included as a result of Germany reaching the Euro 2016 semi-final or if Mourinho does not have plans for him next season.

Marouane Fellaini, Anthony Martial, Morgan Schneiderlin and Matteo Darmian were also left behind after reaching at least the quarter-final stage at Euro 2016.

Super Lig champions Besiktas have held talks with United over the transfer of Schweinsteiger according to LigTV.

The the Black Eagles have held talks with United with the view of signing Schweinsteiger on a season-long loan.

The Express meanwhile claim that Besiktas’ rivals Fenerbahce are also interested in a move for the Germany international.
