Man Utd striker Robin van Persie expected in Istanbul by Sunday says Fenerbahce sporting director

Fenerbahçe sporting director Giuliano Terraneo expects Manchester United striker Robin Van Persie to arrive in Istanbul by Sunday according to NTV.

The Yellow Canaries released a statement on the Istanbul stock exchange yesterday confirming talks with the 31-year-old striker.

This may look like a step back from completing the transfer however, it is common practice in Turkey to release statements on the stock exchange regarding talks before announcing the transfer due to legal requirements.
