Gomez has now scored both home and away against Istanbul giants Galatasaray this season.
The Germany international has now scored six times and provided two assists in his last five league games. The goals have come at a critical point in the title race and have secured Besiktas a six point lead at the top of the table with two games left.
Gomez made history becoming the first player to score in the recently completed Vodafone Arena stadium and has beat Ilhan Mansiz’s record for most goals scored in a single league campaign (21).
