Besiktas striker Mario Gomez has stated that he will remain at the Istanbul based club if they qualify to the UEFA Champions League.

The Germany international has been in sensational form for the Black Eagles this season and has attracted the attention of Europe’s elites.

“I feel like I am an important member of the team and am playing very well. I feel very comfortable here,” Gomez was quoted as saying by LigTV.

“I would love to play for Besiktas in their new stadium in the Champions League.”

Gomez has been linked with a number of clubs across Europe with Manchester United reportedly to be keen on adding him to their ranks over the summer according to Telegraph and FoxSport.

The former Bayern Munich striker joined the Black Eagles on a two-year loan from Fiorentina over the summer and has hit the ground running at his new club.

Gomez also earned himself a recall to the Germany national team and scored his first international goal since 2012 against England in a friendly last month.
