Manchester City send scouts to monitor Alper Potuk

Manchester City are the latest side to be linked with a move for Fenerbahce’s in-form midfielder Alper Potuk.

The Turkish newspaper Fanatik has stated that Manchester City have sent scouts to monitor the 23-year-old’s performances.

The report goes onto state that Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Malaga, Aston Villa, Leverkusen, Hertha Berlin, Mönchengladbach and Lyon are also interested in the Turkish international.

Potuk first made a name for himself at Eskişehirspor and made his debut for the club in 2009.

The 24-year-old made 106 appearances for EsEs over the course of four seasons before joining Fenerbahçe in May 2013.

Potuk was part of the Yellow Canaries side that won the Süper Lig and the Super Cup last season.

The Turkish international has two goals in a total of 38 appearances for Fenerbahçe since joining.

The Canaries sit at the top of the league with 42 points in 18 games, one point ahead of Beşiktaş and three points in-front of Galatasaray.
