Manchester City team news: Guardiola set to rotate squad ahead of Burnley clash

Manchester City take on Burnley FC this weekend as they look to extend their winning run.

Pep Guardiola’s side have registered ten victories in a row, including a 3-1 victory over Napoli on Tuesday night.

Burnley meanwhile are performing way ahead of pre-season expectations and are unbeaten in their last six Premier League games. Sean Dyche’s side sit in seventh place after eight games.

Man City team news:

City boss Pep Guardiola is expected to rotate his squad following their tough mid-week encounter in the UEFA Champions League.

Ilkay Gundogan is in-line to start his first Premier League game of the season. The Germany international recently returned to full-fitness after 10 months on the sidelines with a knee injury.

Gundogan featured during the 2-1 win over Napoli and during City’s 7-2 win over Stoke City last weekend.

Meanwhile Vincent Kompany is ruled out with an ankle problem while long-term absentee Benjamin Mendy is also sidelined with a knee injury.
