Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has revealed that he is open to working in Turkey at some stage in the future.

Mourinho stated that he is happy at United but that he would not rule out the possibility of coaching in Turkey.

The Portuguese manager revealed that Fenerbahce were the first non-Portuguese side to make him a job offer back in 2002-03 when he was coaching at Porto.

“I love football, I am a football man and love the passion of football, Turkey has a lot of passion so why not,” Mourinho said when asked at his press conference if he would consider working in Turkey.

Mourinho has never coached before in Turkey and he only took over at United over the summer but the experienced manager is under mounting pressure after a poor run of form in the league and suffering a defeat against Fenerbahce in the Europa League at the Sukru Saracoglu.

The Yellow Canaries were linked with a move for Mourinho before he joined United but an official bid was never made.

Fenerbahce beat United 1-0 at the Sukru Saracoglu on Thursday evening to move into second place in the Europa League Group A.
