Manchester United keep tabs on former Bayern Munich youth [divider]
Manchester United are keeping tabs on Trabzonspor midfielder Mehmet Ekici Abdul according to Turkish newspaper Milliyet.
United had scouts watching Ekici and Abdul Majeed-Waris during Trabzonspor’s 2-0 win against Lokeren in the Europa League on Thursday 23 October.
Mehmet Ekici first made a name for himself as a hot talent while developing at the Bayern Munich youth academy.
The German giants loaned him out to 1 FC. Nuremberg in 2010 a one year deal and he was signed by Werder Bremen the following season.
The 24-year-old was signed by Trabzonspor for £1.3 million this summer on a four-year deal.
Ekici plays as an attacking midfielder centre, behind the striker.
