Manchester United superstar contacted by Turkish giants over €6m deal

Turkish Super League giants Fenerbahce have expressed an interest in Manchester United superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Fenerbahce are currently in the market for a new striker as they look to bolster their attacking options ahead of the upcoming season.

The Turkish outlet Fotomac claim that Fenerbahce have contacted Ibrahimovic’s representatives to enquire about the availability of the former Barcelona star.

Per the source, Fenerbahce are prepared to offer Ibrahimovic a €6 million per-season deal.

However, the transfer looks some way off given Ibrahimovic’s injury situation. The former Sweden international suffered a knee injury towards the end of the season and isn’t expected to be fully fit until 2018.

Furthermore, Fenerbahce are currently being monitored by UEFA for Financial Fair Play which may make an expensive move for Ibrahimovic unrealistic.

Meanwhile, Ibrahimovic himself is keen to remain at Manchester United. According to the Sun, Ibra has dropped a huge hint he will put pen-to-paper on a new United deal after he enrolled his two sons back into their youth academy.

Ibra racked up 28 goals and ten assists in 46 appearances for Manchester United last season.
