Manchester United to activate Arda Turan’s €30 million release clause

Manchester United are considering a move for Atletico Madrid’s star man Arda Turan at the end of the season.

According to the Italian sports website Tutto Mercato Web, the Red Devils are prepared to activate Arda’s €30 million release clause.

The report goes onto the state that United are keen to fend off interest from Arsenal and Liverpool for the 28-year-old’s signature.

The Atletico Madrid star has a contract with Atleti until 2017 and is valued in the region of £22 million.

The 28-year-old became the first Turkish born player to win the La Liga as Atleti won their first league title since 1996 last season and was part of the same side that reached the Champions League final.
