Mancini remains coy on move for Liverpool & Stoke target

Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini dodged the question when asked whether Inter were interested in signing Caner Erkin from Fenerbahce.

The experienced Italian manager heaped praise on the Turkish international and told the reporter to consult Inter’s director of football Piero Ausilio.

“I know Caner well form my time in Turkey,” Mancini was quoted as saying by the Milliyet.

“He is a former Galatasaray player and now plays for Fenerbahce.

“He is a good footballer however, for any transfer related information you will have to ask Ausilio.”

The Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport (via interlive) claim that Liverpool and Stoke City are lining up a deal in the region of €1.8 per season.

Erkin currently has just six-months remaining on his contract meaning he could end up being signed on a free transfer unless he extends his current deal.

The former Galatasaray man has one goal and eight assists in all competitions for the Yellow Canaries this season.
