Mancini responds to Arsenal & Juventus link with cryptic ‘Galatasaray’ message

Former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini responds to Arsenal & Juventus link with cryptic ‘Galatasaray’ message

Roberto Mancini is currently unemployed but he has been linked with a number of managerial positions including Juventus, PSG and Arsenal who face an uncertain future over whether Arsene Wenger will stay on next season.

Sky Italia asked Mancini about possible upcoming vacancies at Juventus, Arsenal and PSG.

Sky Italia: “Those questions were written so many months, but there is nothing for now. “There is nothing concrete, when an opportunity comes up I will evaluate it.”

Mancini gave a cryptic response nether confirming nor denying the rumours and responded by giving an example of his time at Galatasaray.

“I like to do new experiences – such as the one I had at Galatasaray [in the 2013-14 season],” he added.

The Italian manager replaced Fatih Terim mid-way through the season despite him having won the league title the previous season and guiding his side to an impressive Champions League run.

Mancini’s appointment at Galatasaray came as a surprise as did Terim getting the sack.

Terim is considering a club legend at Galatasaray and news that he had been unceremoniously fired did not go down well with the fans.

Whatever Mancini actually meant by liking new experiences it would not be a surprise for the Italian coach to lock down a job at a top-tier club in England or Italy.

Mancini has already won the Premier League title during his time in charge of Manchester City.

The experienced coach has managed some of the biggest clubs in world football including Inter Milan where he won three Serie A titles.

Mancini has won the league title in every country he has coached in except Galatasaray but he did guide the Lions to the Turkish Cup.
