Arsenal’s star playmaker Mesut Ozil may sit out of the Gunners crucial Premier League clash with last seasons champions Leicester City.
The Foxes host Arsenal at the King Power stadium on Saturday, kick-off is at 17:00 (GMT).
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted that the 27-year-old may not feature agaisnt Leicester City after returning to pre-season training last week. Ozil was given an extended break following his efforts during Euro 2016. However, this decision has perplexed some Arsenal fans as Aaron Ramsey who also played in the Semi Finals at Euro 2016 started against Liverpool.
“We will try, but when they have not enough preparation they get injured,” Wenger stated, when asked whether Ozil will start on the weekend according to the Metro.
Ozil was included in the provisional squad going into the game against the Reds but was left out of the match day squad
The Arsenal playmaker of Turkish origin is not injured but Wenger fears that his star man may end up on the sidelines if he is rushed back before he is 100 percent fit.
