Mesut Ozil has congratulated Joachim Löw on his Fifa world coach of the year award.

The Play-maker who was part of Löw’s Germany side which won the World Cup, tweeted “Congratulations to Joachim Low!

Germany manager Joachim Low has won the award for Coach of the Year during the ceremony for the Ballon d’Or award.

Mesut Ozil was ‘thrilled to bits’ with his Arsenal return 

The World Cup winning coach beat Ateltico Madrid’s Diego Simeone and Carlo Ancelotti of Real Madrid to the accolade.

In an interview with Bild, Low labelled Ozil as a ‘key player’ for the Germany national team.

Ozil has 25 assists and 17 goals in 51 senior competitive appearances for Germany. The 26-year-old has a 89% pass accuracy rate at international level.
