Mesut Özil has heaped praise on Arsenal following their 2-0 victory over Stoke City in the Premier league.
The Germany international provided the assist for the Gunners opening goal when he played a long range pass over Stoke’s defence directly into the path of Wacott’s run.
Olivier Giroud scored the games other goal giving Arsenal the 2-0 win.
Özil posted a picture of himself to Instagram along with the following caption, “Job done! 2 striker goals make us 2nd of the table for the moment. Have a nice weekend Gunners!#YaGunnersYa #Arsenal #bpl.”
Özil played 84 minutes of today’s game before being substituted off in place of Alex Oxlade Chamberlain.
Arsenal moved up into second place in the Premier League following today’s victory. The North London based side take on their London rivals Chelsea in next weekend.
Özil has provided one assists and scored no goals in four appearances for Arsenal this season.
