Mesut Ozil has heaped praise on his teammates following Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the Premier League.
The 27-year-old went onto state that the first half performance was the key to the North London based sides win.
Ozil uploaded a picture of himself celebrating alongside his teammates in the changing room with the caption, “Aaarsenal! Aaarsenal! Aaarsenal! Brutal team efficiency. Our first half was the key to success today! #YaGunnersYa #AFCvMCFC #COYG.”
Ozil was the star of the show in Arsenal’s win over Manchester City yesterday evening. Arsenal secured their second spot and are four points clear of City going into the busy festive period.
The 27-year-old provided the assists for both goal bringing his assist tally for the season up to 15. Ozil is now just one assist away from equalling Theirry Henry’s record of 16.
Arsenal are now just two points off league leaders Leicester City. The Gunners take on Southampton in their next league game.
