Mesut Özil scored his sides second goal in their 3-2 victory over Brighton in the FA Cup.

The World Cup winner found the back of the net with a well placed shot in the 24th minute. Arsenal went on to win the games via goals from Walcott and Rosicky.

Özil received a rating of 7.70 from Whoscored, the 26-year-old made three successful key passes in the game and scoring a goal. The 26-year-old was taken off in the 80th minute in place of Francis Coquelin.

This was the first game Özil started since suffering a knee injury during a Premier League clash against Chelsea back in October 2014.

The record £42.5 million Arsenal signing has made two assists and scored two goal in 11 appearances for the North-London based club this season.

Özil provided 14 assists for the Gunners last season and has a total of 157 assists in 399 games.
