Mesut Özil has taken to Instagram to thank the Arsenal fans who made the trip to Old Trafford to support the Gunners during their 2-1 victory over Manchester United in the FA Cup last night.
The Germany international also expressed his joy in defeating their rivals in the cup. Özil played the full 90 minutes for Arsenal and was given a 7.3 rating Whoscored.
The 26-year-old posted a picture of himself celebrating with the team long with the caption, “The day after: still happy and proud of the whole team! Special thanks to all fans who travelled with us to Old Trafford – you were outstanding!”

The World Cup winner has provided the most assists in the Premier League since returning from injury.
Özil has scored four goals and contributed seven assists in all competitions for the Gunners this season. Arsenal will face Bradford or Reading in the FA Cup semi-final.
The Gunners are currently 3rd in the Premier League and take on West Ham at the Emirates next.
