Mesut Ozil wants to stay at Arsenal and win the Premier League

Mesut Özil has stated that he is happy in North London and wants to stay at Arsenal.

The 26-year-old has been in impressive form since returning from a knee injury that ruled him out for three months.

“I want to stay, I have a three-year contract with Arsenal however, anything can happen in football,” Özil told the Turkish newspaper Fanatik.

Özil also underlined that he wants to win the Premier League title at Arsenal.

“We [Arsenal] will battle to the very end in the Premier League.”

Özil joined Arsenal from Real Madrid for £44 million in September 2013.

The record breaking Arsenal signing has a contract with the Gunners that runs until July 2018.

The World Cup winner has scored four goals and made seven assists in all competitions for the Gunners this season.

Özil is expected to start for Arsenal this weekend in the Premier League against West Ham.

The Gunners are currently competing in three competitions, the FA Cup, Premier League and Champions League.

Özil won the FA Cup in his first season at Arsenal and lifted the World Cup the same year.
