Arsenal fan and former Mirror editor Piers Morgan has said that Michael Owen calling Liverpool FC’s Raheem Sterling better than Mesut Ozil is ‘utterly ridiculous’.

Piers Morgan went onto state that Michael Owen should be ‘retired’ and that Ozil is comfortably a better player than Sterling.

Owen shared his view following Arsenal’s 4-1 victory over Liverpool in which Ozil scored a well placed free-kick as part of a brilliant display, while Sterling endured a frustrating afternoon.

Speaking on BT Sport show Fletch & Sav, Owen said: “He’s better than Ozil. I think he’s better than Welbeck.”
