Serie A giants Napoli have join the race to sign the Iraq international left back Ali Adnan from Rizespor.

Riccardo Napolitano, a football agent with links to Napoli has stated the Gli Azzurri are interested in signing Ali Adnan.

The Iraqi international has also been closely linked with La Liga side Granada as well as Turkish giants Galatasaray over recent weeks.

Adnan will however, not be joining Granada according to Rizespor press officer Aykut Ferah.

“Ali Adnan is a very important player for Rizespor,” Ferah said.

“His manager has a lot of faith in him.

“If an offer was made for the price being quoted there is no way we would accept it, Ali is worth a lot more.”

Adnan joined Rizespor for €500,000 following an impressive display in the U20 World Cup.

The 21-year-old first made a name for himself helping guide the Iraq U20 national team to the semi-finals of the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Adnan has one goal and has provided one assist in 11 appearances in all competitions this season.

The young left-back is currently in Australia with the Iraqi national team.
