Netherlands international captain Wesley Sneijder out injured

Galatasaray playmaker Wesley Sneijder has picked up an injury the club revealed.

The Lions released a statement on their official website confirming that Sneijder has had pains in his hamstring.

Galatasaray have decided to rest Sneijder and he will not be participating in team training.

The Netherlands international captain has been in impressive form for the Lions.

The Netherlands international joined Galatasaray from Inter in January 2013 and has a total of 32 goals and 14 assists in 94 games for the Lions.

Sneijder has won the Süper Lig, Turkish Cup and Turkish Süper Cup since his arrival in Turkey.

Galatasaray will take on Gaziantepspor next at the Türk Telekom Arena.

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has suspended Süper Lig and Turkish Cup matches for a week following the armed attack on the Fenerbahçe team bus.

The Lions are currently first in the Süper Lig, two points ahead of second placed Fenerbahçe and three ahead of third placed Beşiktaş.
