Cruyff criticised the Netherlands national team for their lack of creativity following the 1-1 draw.

“The defenders were only passing the ball to the midfielders and they then passed it back to the defenders. The people with little creativity were dictating play. This is not what you want. The problems only got bigger,” he added.

The Netherlands rescued a point against Turkey in the second minute of additional time when Wesley Sneijder’s shot deflected off Huntelaar for the equaliser.

The results on Saturday saw Netherlands remain third in Group A, with seven points from five games.

Turkey remain in fourth place on five points while Czech Republic who drew with Latvia top the group with 13 points.

The Crescent-Stars will take on Luxembourg in an international friendly on Tuesday 31 March.
