Galatasaray manager Hamza Hamzaoğlu agreed to a $500,000 salary according to Turkish newspaper Fanatik.

Hamzaoğlu will earn considerably less than his predecessor Cesare Prandelli who made $3 million per-season.

The 44-year-old signed a deal until the end of the season today but Galatasaray have yet to release an official statement regarding the financial details of the agreement.

Hamzaoğlu signed a contract which will see him remain in charge of Galatasaray until the end of the season, the board will hold talks regarding an extension depending on his results.

The former Galatasaray footballer played for Galatasaray as a player but made a name for himself as a manager during his spell at Akhisar.

Hamzaoğlu player led Akhisar into the Süper Lig from the PTT 1. Lig and later joined the Turkish national team as Fatih Terim’s assistant coach.
