Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun continues to be linked with a move to the Premier League in the Turkish press.

Fotomac claim that Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are favourites in the race for the Turkish international.

Per the source, Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez has been sending scouts to keep tabs on Tosun.

The Magpies reportedly had a scouting team watching the 26-year-old in Turkey’s 2-2 draw against Finland.

Newcastle are expected to continue sending scouts to Besiktas games including the Champions League clash against Monaco next week.

Tosun scored a brace in the World Cup qualifier taking his season tally for club and country to eight.

The star striker also netted for Besiktas in the following Super Lig game.

The Turkish international scored the Champions League goal of the week Match Day 1 in the 3-1 win over Porto.

Tosun has played a key role in Besiktas winning the league title for the past two seasons.

The Germany born forward has another two-years remaining on his contract.

Besiktas value their star man as being worth £18 million.
