Newcastle & Tottenham face Spanish competition for £18m striker but may have to wait until next summer for Champions League star

Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun scored a brace for Turkey against Finland mid-week to take his overall season tally to seven goals.

The Turkish international star’s form has not gone unnoticed.

Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Tottenham have all been scouting the prolific goal scorer.

Turkish sports newspaper Fotomac now claim that he also has attracted interest from Spain.

Per the source, Atletico Madrid, Valencia and Sevilla have joined the race.

The La Liga sides are keen on a January transfer for Tosun but may have to wait until the end of the season.

Besiktas are currently first in the Champions League Group G after two games.

Tosun scored UEFA Champions League goal of the week on Match Day 1 against Porto in the 3-1 win over the Portuguese giants.

The Black Eagles do not want to lose their star man in January. The Istanbul giants have won the league title for the past two seasons and are confident they will progress to the next round of the Champions League.

Eagles president Fikret Orman has made it clear he is open to selling Tosun if his £18 million valuation is met but only at the end of the season.
