Newcastle v Liverpool – Probable lineups – Klopp receives major boost with return of star name

Newcastle United host Liverpool in the Premier League today as they look to return to winning ways.

Rafa Benitez will be up against his former side, the Spanish tactician lifted the UEFA Champions League title during his spell at Anfield.

The Reds will be keen to return to winning ways after being held to a 1-1 draw by Spartak Moscow in the Champions League earlier this week. Jurgen Klopp’s side did however defeat Leciester City in the Premier League last weekend.

Newcastle United have made a strong start to the season but suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Brighton last week.

Klopp will be able to call upon Sadio Mane after the Senegal international served his three-game suspension for a red-card. Germany international Emre Can is also available for selection today.

Philippe Coutinho has been included in the squad but he has started the Reds last four games. If the star playmaker starts against Newcastle he will have played five games in 15 days.
