Nigeria international Chinedu Obasi has denied reports linking him with a summer move to Beşiktaş according to SL10.
The Schalke 04 striker is expected to leave the Bundesliga outfit at the end of the season following the end of his contract.
Obasi did however, state that it could be possible that an agent had been in contract with the Süper Lig club on his behalf.
“‘I don’t know where the news is coming from. I have not had any contact with Besiktas,” Obasi told SL10.ng.
”Maybe an agent is talking with them but I am not.”
The Nigerian international joined Hoffenheim eight years ago and later joined Schalke 04 three-years ago.
The 28-year-old has one goal and one assist in 10 appearances for Schalke 04 this season.
Obasi has four goals in 26 international cap for the Nigeria national team.
Beşiktaş are currently first in the Süper Lig and face sixth placed Trabzonspor on the weekend.
The Black Eagles have reached their foreign player limit for this season but the ruling will be changed for the next league campaign.
Süper Lig sides will be able to sign 14 foreign players next season.
