‘No stopping our Egyptian friends’ – Liverpool fans feel Champions League Player of the Week award is in the bag but Cenk Tosun is in close pursuit
A Champions League voting war is brewing between the Turks and Egyptians following the latest player of the week shortlist.
Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah and Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun have both made the Match Day 3 list.
Tosun scored a brace in the 2-0 away win over Monaco taking his competition tally to three goals and one assist.
Salah meanwhile scored and provided an assist in the 7-0 victory over Maribor.

The Egyptian international did win the UEFA last player of the week award he was nominated for thanks to his loyal following.
Liverpool fans feel Salah already has the award in the bag thanks to his Egyptian fans.
