Lafferty joined Norwich in the summer from Serie A outfit Palermo.

The striker has a lot of experience playing outside of England. Lafferty has also played in Scotland for Glasgow Rangers and in Switzerland for FC Sion.

The 27-year-old only had one goal in 18 games for the Championship outfit and was an unused substitute in Saturday’s goalless draw at Birmingham.

Rizespor also signed Ludovic Obraniak on loan from Werder Bremen until the end of the season during the transfer window.

The Black Sea based club are currently in 15th place on 17 points after 18 games and are managed by Hikmet Karaman.
