In an interview with TRT, Borussia Dortmund’s playmaker Nuri Şahin spoke about the Turkish National teams recent troubles.
“Our chance of qualifying for Euro 2016 has been greatly reduced but if was can find some form we can keep our hopes alive until the last game,”Şahin said.
“Nobody is playing well for the national team, we are all to blame.
Şahin was also asked about the recent situation regarding Gokhan Töre, Ömer Toprak and Hakan Çalhanoğlu. “I was not there so it’s difficult for me to comment as I don’t know the full story,” Şahin said.
“The fact this situation has made it to the media is a disgrace.”
The former Liverpool and Real Madrid player also commented on Beşiktaş’s forward Olcay Şahan.
“Olcay Şahan is my favourite player in the Süper Lig. He is the Thomas Miller of Turkey,” Şahin said.
Şahin has 47 Turkish international caps to his name and had 40 caps at youth level.
