Jimmy Durmaz’s agent Martin Dahlin has stated that Olympiakos have rejected an offer from Besiktas for the Sweden international.

Jimmy has been linked with a move to both Fenerbahce and Besiktas in recent weeks.

“Besiktas’ offer has been turned down by Olympiakos,” Dahlin told the Fotbollskanalen website.

“It is true they are interested in signing Jimmy however, Olympiakos do not want to sell him.”

The Swedish international joined Olympiakos on a £1.7 million move from Gençlerbirliği last season.

The 25-year-old has experience playing in the Süper Lig and would be eligible to play as a domestic player due to being a Turkish citizen.

Durmaz was born in Örebro, Sweden to Turkish parents from the Midyat region of Turkey.

The Swedish international has one goal in 10 appearances for the Greek giants this season and still has three-years remaining on his contract.

Durmaz was eligible to represent Turkey at international level but opted to play for his country of birth.

The 25-year-old scored twice in 13 international appearances for the Swedish national team.
