Opare completes his move to Besiktas from Porto

Daniel Opare has completed his move transfer from Porto to Besiktas. The 24-year-old right back arrived in Istanbul last night and passed his medical examination with the Black Eagles this morning.

Besiktas have signed Opare on a loan deal keeping him at at the club until the end of the season. The Istanbul based club also have an option to sign Opare however, the fee has not been disclosed.

The Black Eagles released a statement to the Istanbul stock exchange confirming the transfer.

The statement reads, “Daniel Opare will spend the remainder of the 2014-15 season on loan at Besiktas on a free transfer. Our company have the option of signing Opare at the end of the loan deal.”

Besiktas have played much of the season without a right-back due to injuries and a lack of depth.

Midfielders Necip Uysal and Atiba Hutchinson have had to fill in as make shift right-backs from time to time this season.

Opare joined Porto on a free transfer from Standard Liege this summer but has only made two appearances for Porto’s reserve side this season.

The 24-year-old has 16 Ghana international caps and still has three-years left on his contract with the Portuguese giants.
