Out-of-favour Chelsea star makes shock decision to return to Brazilian giants Flamengo

Out-of-favour Chelsea left-back Kenedy has set his sights on a return to the Brazilian league.

The 21-year-old has been closely linked with a move to both Newcastle and Fenerbahce this summer.

However, the Turkish outlet Fanatik claim that Kenedy has made a surprise decision to return to Brazil. The young full-back in understood to be in talks with Brazil Serie A giants Flamengo.

Per the source, Flamengo have also held talks with Chelsea and are close to agreeing a one-year loan deal.

The news will come as a blow to Newcastle United. According to Sky Sports, Newcastle held talks with Chelsea for Kenedy earlier this week.

Meanwhile, Turkish outlet Fanatik state that Turkish giants Fenerbahce are also preparing an offer for the 21-year-old.

Kenedy’s fell out-of-favour with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte after he was sent home from a pre-season tour of China. The young defender spent last season out on loan with Watford FC but struggled with injuries and returned after making just one appearance.
