Mesut Özil believes Arsenal can extend their eight game Premier League win streak against league leaders Chelsea on Sunday.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has failed to win any of his last 12 encounters with Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho but Özil believes that could all change when the two sides meet at the Emirates.
“We are in a great shape and want to extend our run with a victory on Sunday,” Özil told SID.
“Even if we only have a theoretical chance of winning the Premier League, the meeting of the two teams with the most points of the league is something special.”
Chelsea are first in the Premier League, 10 points ahead of Arsenal with six matches to go.
The Blues could clinch the title if they beat the Gunners and the following game against Leicester City mid-week.
Arsenal are currently second and have a mathematical chance of keeping their title hopes alive with a win against Mourinho’s side.
